Arena Time & Horsemanship
We are very excited to now offer you a whole range of exhilarating horseback experiences in our brand-new 60mx30m outdoor arena! Whether you are looking to improve your riding finesse; excited to try something different on horseback like jumping; or simply want to build up your confidence, we have something to suit you. It is for this reason that all our arena-based actives will be rider led and made to focus on what you want to achieve. Lessons in horsemanship from an experienced coach can also be tailored to suit you. Perfect for growing your partnership with your steed, or building on your existing knowledge and methods of horse communication. |
Trail Riding
As the nights draw in, our winter holidays offer shorter trail rides closer to home, but still provides plenty of opportunity for adventure. From delving deep into the forest to visit our local standing stone, to exploring the beautiful fields, rivers and woods on our own 100 acres of farmland. Enjoy crossing diverse terrain and obstacles along the way. Not to be missed, our rides offer some of the best views in Kintyre – looking across to the Isles of Islay, Jura, Gigha, Ailsa Craig and even Ireland! |
Horse Archery
Connect to your warrior past with our mounted archer experiences! Here at Wilder Ways, we have been practicing our skills with some of the best horseback archers in the World – even spending a week in Bulgaria learning the craft from Kassai master, Vladimir Mustakerski. Our horseback archery opportunities are available to experienced and beginner riders as well as accomplished and newbie archers as every session is tailored to your individual abilities and aspirations. You will learn archery skills on the ground, horsemanship skills and balance before putting them all together to experience the exhilaration of shooting arrows from the back of your steed. The skills involved are ‘easy to learn’ – allowing you to quickly get a feel for this exciting sport. However, they will take a ‘lifetime to master’, potentially setting you off on a journey that will last, well, a lifetime. |
Travelling to Wilder Ways
Please note that the Logan Air flight to Campbeltown runs a very limited timetable during winter months and is therefore not a very convenient option for our winter holidays. Please check Logan Air website for up-to-date details.
