Who enjoys an Adventure to Order?
Our adventures to order have typically attracted groups wanting to enjoy team building or celebrate a special occasion. We are increasingly getting requests from couples and individuals looking to do something extra-ordinary or challenging. This year we will also be exploring opportunities to capture the magic of the wilds, to inspire thinking and nurture. Here are just a few examples of what is possible. |
Celebrations
A breath of fresh air: In recent years we have worked in collaboration with a number of great organisations from the USA and Holland offering therapy, life coaching and mindfulness opportunities through adventures. These experiences have been so fulfilling and energising for horses, staff and guests alike. We certainly welcome more opportunities for this.
Honeymoon: This was an unexpected but adorable bespoke adventure we ran in 2016. Horse loving bride meets bicycle loving groom…Wilder Ways provided a day to remember. The bride enjoyed an exhilarating ride to a secret beach location. The groom took to the hills on a mountain bike armed with the same rendezvous point marked on a map. Meanwhile, our Nikki snuck down to the secret beach to layout a luxury picnic and bubbles (and even a tent in case of bad weather). A gorgeous day that we will all remember and a reminder that imagination has no limits. |
Clubs & University Group: Glasgow Caledonia University (GCU) Equestrian Club enjoyed a Wilder Ways weekend with 12 of their riders on a beautiful snowy November’s day in 2016. The guys loved their adventure and 18 of them booked to enjoy another adventure with us in April 2017. The rides were differentiated for riders’ ability and of course being students (not to stereotype of course) they had a good social at the end of the day, making it a full weekend escape from the city. Both GCU and Herriot Watt University Riding Club have also joined us on our jumping days at Lindores Equestrian, which generated some great fun and friendly rivalry. A group option will also suit a group of friends or other sporting teams as well as established riding clubs.
Epic Adventure: Don’t let our 3 day and week-long holidays limit you. If you want more, just ask. Your trip could encompass two of our riding locations, ensuring you can experience as much of Scotland as possible. So if you want a really epic adventure, just set your budget and timescale and we will do our best to make it happen. If you are an experienced rider looking for a prolonged adventure, perhaps consider volunteering with us for part of the season. Full bed & board, training, lots of riding and epic adventures await you. |
Sporting Challenge: For the athletes among you, do you fancy a challenge? Perhaps you can follow in the footsteps of professional cyclist Mark Beaumont who completed 32 adventures in 12 days across Argyll and the Isles. Visit Wild About Argyll for inspiration. If you are up for a challenge like this we can try to connect you with local collaborators to help make this happen.
Corporate day out: Horse riding is a really fun group activity whether you are looking for a team building activity or a corporate day out. Make a special trip of it to treat your employees or tack it onto the end of a meeting. There is nothing quite like a day in the saddle to blow away any cobwebs. Escape the city and enjoy the call of the wild. Open Air Thinking: In a world dominated by walls and edges and limits, imagine a space with no boundaries. Imagine open air meetings in idyllic wild locations. Fresh air and exercise fuels thinking, creative thought and openness. Make your blue-sky thinking, Open Air Thinking. Ride through the wilderness before your meeting/discussion to relax your group, dissolve any barriers and stimulate your minds via the wonder of nature and exercise. Our gorgeous glass-room can provide a setting for your meetings/discussions. Imagine breath-taking views, the crackle of a fire, fairy lights and delicious local produce – what’s to think about… |
Young Carers: Wilder Ways hope to be able to work with young carers groups to offer a fun, safe and nurturing environment for focus groups and respite breaks. We can of course provide horse riding but in addition we can offer our glass room as a unique space for discussions and all the outdoor space you need for running off steam and enjoying some well-earned R&R; perhaps even a BBQ and toasted marshmallows around a campfire in the evening.
Charity Ride: Consider riding one of our adventures as a fundraiser for your chosen charity, or maybe even organise a specific event. Our marketing and PR partner is very experienced in running Charities and events, and between us we would be happy to assist you in making your event happen. If you are looking for an Adventure to Order or represent a young carers group or other group who might benefit from our offering, please do get in touch at [email protected] or 07826 273 291. |
