Since Wilder Ways moved to our own permanent premises at Glen Kerran Farm it has been great to finally put down roots and start developing our own facilities. Whilst Argyll has many horses, it has few equestian amenities, so we are eager to share ours.
Whether you are a local looking to access new facililties with your own horse, or a visitor wanting to bring your horse on holiday, we have options for you. Please check out the links below for more details

Terms & Conditions
For your horse to participate in any activities at Wilder Ways it must be in good health and well-being, and be fit to complete the proposed adventure. Whilst we are keen to open-up and share with others, we are also passionate about ensuring the health and well-being of our own precious herd. We therefore operate a no touch policy between visiting horses and our own horses. We also ask that your horse meets the following criteria.
If you are joining one of our Riding Holidays with your own horse, it must also meet the following additional criteria.
Please email [email protected] or call 07826273291 to discuss your specific requirements
- Insured – You must hold at least public liability insurance for your horse.
- Vaccination – Your horse must have a valid tetanus and equine flu vaccination.
- Wormed – Your horse must be appropriately protected against worms (i.e. either been wormed or had a worm count in the last 3 months to confirm no worming required).
- Equipment – You will be expected to provide all necessary equipment for you and your horse during your activity/stay.
If you are joining one of our Riding Holidays with your own horse, it must also meet the following additional criteria.
- Shod – We ride in diverse and challenging terrain with rapidly changing surfaces, and we have found hoof boots to be ineffective in these environments (i.e. they fall off or need frequent adjustment, which can mar the experience for other riders).
- Fencing – Your horse must be used to (and respect) electric fencing. Your horse will be kept separate from ours for overnights in an electric fenced corral.
- Strangles Test - You must provide evidence that your horse has recently passed a strangles test (i.e. negative result) since it was last exposed to any new horses.
