Our Riding Holidays showcase what Wilder Ways is about. They are designed to provide a fulfilling and exhilarating adventure, allowing us to get even further into the wilds and off the beaten track, and enabling you to experience more diverse terrain and obstacles. It gives you time to build a rapport with your horse, us and the other riders in the group. Ultimately we feel this makes for an immersive experience which allows you to enjoy being on holiday. Our Ultimate Adventure and Extreme Wilderness (Knoydart) holidays are designed for experienced riders with a strong appetite for epic adventures. They are not for the faint hearted!
By contrast our Wilderness Journey holiday is at a more inclusive pace. This holiday is still set within epic scenery and there are opportunities for a canter or gallop for those who wish, but it also provides a safe space for those who like a more leisurely pace.
Our Clinics that we host are primarily designed for people to bring their own horse (however there is an option to hire one of our own horses to use) and focus on training and development.
For previous clients only, our Wilder Working Week holiday is the perfect opportunity to sit on our side of the fence and experience a week of unadulterated high-quality horse time and loads of learning opportunities, all while receiving the same brilliant hospitality and positive energy as any of our other holidays.
Our collaboration holiday with AerreA, exclusively for healthcare workers, is a self-care adventure which blends the very best of all things horse, hospitality, health and happiness.
For all our holidays, as a minimum you must be confident and competent at rising trot.

We offer the holidays as short breaks and full-week itineraries. Our week holidays are over 7 nights, include 5 days riding and 1 rest day which includes a non-riding adventure. The short breaks are over 3 nights with 3 days of riding. Additional activities can be added to the Short Breaks if you want to enjoy an extended stay (subject to availability). Our Short Breaks are a great way to sample some real adventure over a relatively short space of time and a more modest budget, whilst the full weeks are of course the ultimate adventure. All our week holidays (Ultimate Adventure, Extreme Wilderness, AerreA & Wilder Working Week) do require a reasonable level of fitness as you will spend 4-6 hours in the saddle each day.
