The Dixon-Spain family (also horse lovers) bought over the castle and Wilder Ways are delighted to be collaborating with them on this project as part of family’s wider proactive plans to restore the castle.

The Ride
Over the three days you will explore over 40km of the Cowal peninsula, and climb to the mini-summit of Cnoc Polphail at 100m, which will give you panoramic views over the area. We'll ride into a hidden cove with stunning views out to the Isle of Arran and learn to navigate across open hill ground by the plants under your hooves. Along the south of the peninsula you will ride through rolling meadows to the wide white sands of a beautiful beach where you can have a good gallop and even swim with the horses if you're up for it.
Your horse will be ready for you each morning, but if you want to get your ‘hands dirty’ you are welcome to help.
This itinerary may change due to weather or other factors or be ridden in reverse.
Price may vary according to your specific requirements, please see our Terms and Conditions.
