These riding holidays offer a journey into the wilds over 5 full days in the saddle but with the holiday spanning over 7 days and 6 nights (i.e. allowing for travel time). Each day you will ride to a new destination. You will enjoy the genuine feeling of travelling a journey on horseback. Each night you will stay in different accommodation, which means you will need to repack your luggage each morning. The type of accommodation varies along the route from basic cabins to more luxurious B&Bs and Inns. Don’t worry, there will be a good helping of comfort and indulgence along the way with some spectacular meals and a bit of a Spa treat. There will also be a good dollop of mud, sweat and hard work but between all the laughter, stunning views and fantastic riding, we are sure you will love this truly authentic adventure…after all we are not called Wilder Ways for nothing!
This trip is demanding, even for the most accomplished riders. Not only will you spend ~6 hours in the saddle each day but you will also spend at least 2 hours per day caring for and preparing your horse. You will all spend time packing and repacking your personal luggage and riding equipment each day. The corollary of this is a great feeling of joy and satisfaction to have navigated through the wilds on horseback over a journey of many miles.
Whether you were the Cowboy/girl or the Indian in your childhood games; that dream of just packing up and disappearing into the mountains with you horse…well that’s about to be your reality!
What’s included?
Our P2P Week Holidays include 5 days in the saddle and 6 nights’ accommodation full board. Each day we will stop for a scenic picnic lunch (provided by us) and usually at least one short break for light refreshments and a leg stretch as required during the ride. View What We Provide in our Terms for full details.
For these trips we ask that you meet us at 5pm on Day 1. The group can then enjoy getting to know each other over an evening meal before we turn in for the night. We are then all fresh to start the first day of our journey. The ride finishes at approximately 5pm on Day 6, but our package includes a final night’s accommodation and evening meal as a finale to our adventure. You depart after breakfast on the morning of Day 7.
There is no rest day built into this holiday. However, if you would like to extend your trip we would be happy to assist you to plan any non-riding activities or additional accommodation requirements…or of course even more riding! Our locations page will give you some useful information and ideas.
The price for our P2P Week Holiday is £1,395 per person for our itinerary as described. This price is based on two people sharing a room and single person supplements will apply. Price may vary further according to your specific requirements. The full price will be confirmed on booking. Please view full Terms prior to booking.
Our P2P Week Holidays run on specified dates between April and October (see our Diary below) across only two of our pop-up locations (i.e. Argyll’s Secret Coast and Cowal Peninsula). If the specified dates do not suit you please contact us and we may be able to offer you a similar itinerary as an Adventure to Order.
