Our BRAND-NEW Horse Play Short Break is designed to give you it all! Whether you’re looking to enhance your horsemanship, feel the wind in your hair, or simply enjoy nature at its finest - from horseback - this trip is for you! This action-packed adventure is designed to nourish your inner horseman and your inner adventurous child all at once. It is perfect for anyone short on time, but big meaningful horse adventures.
Riders must at least be confident and competent at rising trot. All cantering and galloping are optional. We are always two guides enabling us to differentiate for rider ability, so all riders who want to, will get opportunities to ride at speed. This trip is NOT suitable for beginner riders. |

Adventure Summary
Kintyre is a place that time forgot. Well off the beaten track and surrounded by beautiful coastline and stunning island views, this place is full of wildlife and steeped in Scottish history and folklore. This makes our location the perfect playground for developing horsemanship and enjoying wonderful adventures with horses. This immersive adventure offers 3 full days horsing around and 4 nights all-inclusive bed and board, set in a peaceful, rural haven where nature and horses create the backdrop for nourishment, exhilaration, and empowerment. This exquisite break invites you to embrace vulnerability AND feel pure joy. Be immersed in all things horse within this glorious and beautiful setting and join us for an adventure that will leave you feeling both accomplished and exhilarated. Over the 3 full days you will enjoy horsemanship ground-work sessions, ridden obstacles, a half day trail ride and full day beach ride with gallops and even swimming if the weather allows! Use the horsemanship and arena sessions to work on communication skills and refining riding, whilst playing games with your horse - then let loose on the beach and enjoy adrenaline and trust as you feel the thunder of hooves and the pound of your heart. You will stay in our remote 150 year old Scottish farmhouse and feast on delicious home grown and local produce morning, noon and night. With comfortable and characterful accommodation and beautifully eccentric hosts your evenings are as much of the adventure. Breathe deeply, laugh loudly, and leave lighter, more grounded, and full of the kind of wild wisdom only horses and nature can teach. |

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at the farm (check in from 4pm) in time to settle before dinner at 7pm. Relax into your surroundings and let the banter start flowing. Share your own horse history and set your wish list for the trip. Day 2: Meet your steed and start to invest in your relationship budget with them. The first morning we will do some horse pampering and then head to the arena to enjoy our first horsemanship groundwork session to get you and your horse talking on the same page. After lunch in-house we will head out for a half day trail ride to put your new partnership into action in the wilderness. Day 3: Today we will take the groundwork to the next level ‘off piste’ into nature’s playground. This is a great way to expand your relationship with your horse and to invigorate your inner creative child, whilst also developing your horsemanship. After an in-house lunch we will return to the arena to enjoy a ridden session with obstacles. This really showcases the enhanced communication you have achieved with your horse. Day 4: Time to put it all into action, communication, trust, playfulness, inner child, thirst for adventure! For our finale we will head to the beach on a full day ride, picnic packed and ready to feel the wind in your hair, the thunder of hooves and the pound of your heart. There is no better feeling than being on the beach with your horse. We can enjoy some great gallops and even a swim if the weather allows. Day 5: Sadly, the end has come, it’s departure time after breakfast. Bid farewell to this tranquil place and your trusted steed. But hold this space in your heart to go forth with new friends, new skills, and unforgettable memories to bring a smile and brighten any day. This immersive nurturing 3 days will leave you feeling joyful, empowered and totally in love with herd life. |

Trip Details
Arrival – On the Thursday afternoon, the day before the ride starts. Check-in is any time from 4pm onwards, dinner is served at 7pm.
Daily Schedule – This is subject to the specifics of each days' riding, but generally breakfast is at 8.30am, we work with the horses 10am-4pm and dinner is at 7pm.
Riding – 3 full days horse activities (~6 hours with the horses each day and at least 12 hours riding over the short break) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Riding Ability – This trip is available to anyone who has a genuine interest in spending quality time with horses and developing a relationship with them. Riders must at least be confident and competent at rising trot. All cantering and galloping are optional. We are always two guides so can offer differentiation, so all riders who want to, will get opportunities to ride at speed. This trip is NOT suitable for beginner riders.
Rest Day – No rest day is scheduled.
Lunches – A picnic ‘on the hoof’ will be provided on the full day beach ride. The other days you will enjoy a farmhouse lunch.
Accommodation – 4 nights’ accommodation in our remote, 150 year-old Scottish farmhouse.
Evening meals – Each night you will feast at our farmhouse with ‘horse tv’ streaming live from the comfort of the dining room window! Enjoy a home-cooked, 2-course meal made with love. We pride ourselves on our home-grown produce (including pork, lamb, veggies, eggs, herbs and fruit) and other top quality local fare (i.e. seafood, breads and cheeses). Your hosts will eat with you at least 2 nights during the trip to share stories and some great Scottish banter – or as we call it ‘craic’.
Transfers – We provide a transfer between Campbeltown airport or Campbeltown bus stop and the Farm. If you need this, please contact us to confirm a suitable pick-up time before booking your travel. This is usually between 4-6pm
Finish – The last ride will finish on Sunday at 4pm. On the Sunday evening your Wilder Ways hosts will join you for a special finale dinner. You will enjoy a last evening’s sleep in the peace and tranquillity of the farm before returning home after breakfast the next morning.
Departure – Check out is by 11am on the Monday.
Exclusions: Alcoholic drinks are not included but you are welcome to bring your own bottle.
