2020 Schedule |
In line with the latest Scottish Government guidance (issued May 21st 2020), Wilder Ways remains closed until further notice.
All riding holidays scheduled for Knoydart, between May and June have been cancelled and all riders have been contacted directly.
All bookings from July 1st remain in place until we have any Government recommendations to suggest otherwise. We will continue to monitor and review the situation and will update all riders no later than 4 weeks before their intended trip.
Planning Ahead
Riding Holidays
Looking at the details of the Scottish Government’s ‘Route Map through and out of the crisis’ and associated guidance we are now able to outline our proposed comeback. However, this will be (as with all business) subject to the final shape and timescales of the restrictions as they are lifted. We will keep you updated on this as best as we can in the coming months.
Our plan is to reopen to deliver our riding holidays and treks once the Scotland is in Phase 3. We require the following Government policy changes to enable this:
Current estimates suggest that Scotland may be entering Phase 3 by early July. As such, we are gearing up with the aspiration to re-open for then. In this strange and unpredictable time, we appreciate that even though our doors may be open, it may not be possible for all our International guests to travel to us this summer. If you think you are in this position, please get in touch as soon as you can. On the flip side, many of our UK riders will not be able to travel internationally to get their riding holiday fix. We have therefore decided to extend our riding holiday season this year so that more people have a chance of enjoying a very well-earned wild adventure before the year is out. Our 2020 schedule now has holiday and day ride dates available throughout September and October as well as a few spaces still available for August. As part of this extended autumn program we will also be offering some of our brand-new Horseback Archery Experience Days and Short Breaks, so let the adventures begin!
We are therefore delighted to announce that these 2020 adventures are now open for booking online. Please visit our full schedule for details.
Our 2021 season is now open for bookings.
Please see our Terms and Conditions which are updated to take account of COVID interruptions. This includes specific policies for both existing and new bookings.
Lessons and treks
It may be possible that we can open to run day rides sooner. Under the current guidance this will be limited to local riders until Phase 3. We will update you on this as soon as we have finalised our plans but currently anticipate this to be no earlier than mid-June; after the next Scottish Government review.
